Dedication of the ACT Coordinating Center and NCCP-ACT Alliance Office

December 2 — In the midst of ongoing tasks of relief operations, the people involved found time to come together for common worship, give thanks and dedicate the newly set-up office of the ACT Coordinating Center and NCCP ACT Alliance Office for the humanitarian work in the aftermath of Typhoon Haiyan (local name: Yolanda).

The dedication ritual is not much about the physical office space in which the people occupy but more symbolic of the dedication of the people who continually work to aid survivors of Typhoon Haiyan and the commitment to assist them to rise up from the ruins of the devastation with dignity.  Beyond this specific work, is the commitment to live our faith – a faith in action, a faith in the service of the people.
