Operation Paglingap Welcomes Volunteers and Donations

6 days after Super Typhoon Haiyan (local name: Yolanda) hit the country, figures of fatalities and damages continues to rise as rapid assessments and rescue operations continue.

As of today, November 13, 2013, 1,833 individuals were reported dead, 2,623 were injured and 84 are missing according to NDRRMC. A total of 1,387,446 families/6,937,229 persons were affected in 7,488 barangays in 39 provinces of Eastern Visayas and Mindanao.

As an ecumenical response to the survivors of the Super Typhoon Yolanda the NCCP Operation Paglingap appeals for assistance in cash or in kind.

We call local friends to support through providing financial and material support, especially for needed food distribution and volunteers who are able to give time to packing in our warehouse operations. In Metro Manila, the National Council of Churches in the Philippines (NCCP) at 879 EDSA, West Triangle, Quezon City can be a drop center for your much needed assistance to our sisters and brothers in central Philippines.

Financial assistance may be directed to the NCCP:
